Diesel/kerosene prices drop

Nepal Oil Corporation has reduced the price of diesel/kerosene. The corporation's board of directors meeting decided to reduce the price of diesel/kerosene by Rs 1 per liter, effective from midnight today.

With the price adjustment, diesel/kerosene for the first class has been fixed at Rs 143.50 per liter for the first class, Rs 145 for the second class and Rs 146 for the third class.

The Corporation has placed Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj depots in the first class, Surkhet and Dang depots in the second class and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal depots in the third class. The retail price will be applicable for a distance of up to 15 kilometers from the Corporation's depot.

The Corporation has increased the price of aviation fuel (domestic and international). According to the Corporation, the price of aviation fuel for domestic flights has been increased by Rs 6 per liter and for international flights in Kathmandu by US$ 42 per kiloliter. With the increase in price, the price of aviation fuel for domestic flights has reached Rs 134 per liter and US$ 1,015 per kiloliter for international flights.

The retail selling prices have been adjusted as diesel/kerosene prices have decreased by Rs 1.44 per liter and aviation fuel prices have increased by Rs 5.62 per liter, the corporation has clarified.
