It is estimated that physical damage worth around 80.22 billion rupees was caused during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 23 and the protests on the 24th. Of the total damage of about 80.25 billion, 39 billion rupees were lost to the private sector, 28 billion rupees to the federal government, 4 billion rupees to the provinces, and 9 billion rupees to the local level, sources said.
During the discussion held at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday, the subcommittee said that so far, the damage is worth 80.25 billion rupees and that this amount could increase further as the damage details are still coming in. ‘Even if the damage details increase a bit, the increased amount will not be in billions but in crores and lakhs. Based on this, it seems that the damage caused by the demonstration will be more than 80 billion rupees,’ the source said.
