The Construction Business Development Council has deposited Rs 10 million into a fund established for the reconstruction, economic revival, relief and rehabilitation of physical infrastructure damaged due to the Gen-G movement.
The amount was deposited in the Physical Reconstruction Fund from the Construction Entrepreneurs Fund under the Council on Wednesday. A Physical Reconstruction Committee has been formed with the Finance Minister as the chairman to make the reconstruction of public and government physical structures damaged by the protests systematic and effective. A meeting of the committee held a few days ago had decided to spend the amount deposited in the fund to prepare a detailed engineering design of the damaged public structures and prepare a reconstruction report, to immediately repair and restore public structures, and to spend it on economic revival, relief, and rehabilitation programs.
