The Department of Commerce has requested the government to provide necessary suggestions for determining the level of the market and the standards of goods and services.

The department has reminded that, in accordance with Section 13 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075, a committee has been formed under the coordination of the Director General of the department to submit a study report to determine the market level and the price criteria of goods and services.

The department has mentioned that it has decided to take suggestions from citizens and consumers to prepare a draft of the market level and price criteria. The department has clarified that there is a clear definition of the current market structure, taking into account the need for uniformity, transparency and regulation in the pricing of goods and services, price control, consumer protection and market balance, as well as market rules.

The department has urged all concerned to provide suggestions within 15 days, considering the clear basis and justification for the pricing criteria.
