Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of diesel/kerosene and petrol. The corporation's board of directors meeting on Saturday increased the prices of diesel and kerosene by three rupees per liter and petrol by two rupees per liter, effective from midnight.

With the price adjustment, diesel/kerosene has been fixed at Rs 144.50 per liter for the first class, Rs 146 for the second class and Rs 147 for the third class. The Corporation has fixed the price of petrol at Rs 158.50 per liter for the first class, Rs 160 for the second class and Rs 161 for the third class.

The Corporation has classified Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj depots as first class, Surkhet and Dang as second class and Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal as third class.

The Corporation has clarified that the price adjustment has been made as per the new purchase price received from the Indian Oil Corporation on Saturday, petrol has increased by Rs 2.54 per liter and diesel by Rs 6.53 per liter.
