”We will move forward by building on the past, but we cannot return to the past. Good governance is a prerequisite for social justice and economic growth in any country.”
Prime Minister Sushila Karki said that although the country is currently in a difficult situation, it must move forward through good governance, policy reforms, and cooperation as there is no room for further deterioration.
‘We have taken a clear course of action to face these challenges. We have no room for further deterioration except for the dream of prosperity, that is, collective growth in all sectors,’ said Prime Minister Karki. ‘We will move forward by building on the past, but we cannot go back to the past. Good governance is a prerequisite for social justice and economic growth in any country.’
She said that we are aware of the looting of state property under political cover and the suspicion and exploitative distressing system imposed on the private sector. The government is leaving no stone unturned to establish the rule of law. She said that the government is working with all its might to guarantee security.
‘Your gurus are our gurus. Industrialists and businessmen have not only paid taxes to the state, they have also borne the great responsibility of the state by ensuring employment and social security to a large population,’ she said. ‘Therefore, a country cannot be built without industry and business. The economy cannot recover until the morale of industrialists rises.’
