The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 30.75 points to settle at 2,631.14, an increase of 1.18 percent.

Today, 29.738 million 139 shares of 319 companies were bought and sold 68,112 times, resulting in a turnover of 9.20 billion 31.46 million 429.51. Today, the business group decreased by 1.10 percent, while the sub-indices of all other groups increased. 

The finance group increased the most by 5.17 percent and the life insurance group by 4.35 percent. Banking increased by 0.29 percent, development banks by 0.90 percent, hotels and tourism by 1.20 percent, hydropower by 1.18 percent, investment by 0.80 percent, production and processing by 0.96 percent, microfinance by 1.38 percent, mutual funds by 0.10 percent, non-life insurance by 1.33 percent and other groups increased by 1.23 percent.

In today's trading, the share prices of Community Microfinance Financial Institutions Limited, Gurans Finance Limited, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited, People's Power Limited and Tehrathum Power Company Limited have entered a positive circuit. The share price of Khanikhola Hydropower Company Limited has fallen the most by 4.76 percent.

Based on the trading volume and number of shares traded, the highest number of shares traded today was Himalayan Bank Limited Promoter's shares worth Rs 1.665 billion, 59 thousand 76, with 14 million 6 thousand 217 shares being traded.
