The electricity lines of 18 more industries have been disconnected for not paying premium tariffs by consuming electricity from dedicated and trunk lines. The NEA disconnected the electricity of these industries on Friday. Earlier, the electricity of 6 industries was disconnected last Tuesday.

Those to be cut off on Friday are Himal Iron, Triveni Synthetic Yarn, Cosmos Cement, Panchakanya Steel, Shyam Plastic, Goenka Foods, SR Steel, Panchakanya Plastic, Bhalwari Automatic Factory, Jagadamba Synthetic, Everest Rolling, Gharana Foods, Vishal Cement, SR Foods, Siddharth Pet Plast, Bootbal Cement, Sona Minerals and Oils and Nigale Cement.

The authority had cut the power lines of Jagadamba Steel, Reliance Spinning Mills, Shivam Cement, Ghorahi Cement, Arghakhanchi Cement Industries and Triveni Spinning Mills last Tuesday morning.

These industries have not paid the additional charges for using dedicated and trunk lines from 2072 Magh to 2075 Baisakh. But the industrialists have been demanding the actual bill.

A total of 6 industries have taken interim orders so that the power lines cannot be disconnected and 13 industries have started paying their dues by taking installment facilities, said NEA spokesperson Rajan Dhakal. "The lines of all the industries that have not paid their dues and have not taken installment facilities have been disconnected, now only government-owned Udayapur and Hetauda Cement are left," he said.
