Nepal Rastra Bank is going to invest 3 billion 300 million in gratuity and pension funds in banks and financial institutions. The Central Bank has informed through a notice that it is going to invest the amount for 366 days.

Rastra Bank said that it is going to invest the amount in A, B and C category banks and financial institutions.

Banks and financial institutions have been in operation for at least two years, the minimum total capital fund specified by the bank has been maintained, non-performing loans must be eight percent of the total loan amount and the net non-performing loan ratio must not exceed three percent.

It is mentioned in the notice that banks and financial institutions should apply by 30th of this October, specifying the interest rate they want to take and also the proposed interest rate to take the said amount.
