Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) has canceled the October 19 Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight. Corporation spokesperson Subas Dangi issued a statement on Monday and informed that the October 19 Kathmandu-Guangzhou flight was canceled due to internal reasons of the corporation as per the regular flight schedule.
The corporation also said that all the passengers of the flight were managed through alternative arrangements. According to the regular flight schedule of the Kathmandu-Guangzhou-Kathmandu sector, the corporation carried 68 passengers and It has been reported that the tickets of 41 passengers on the Guangzhou-Kathmandu flight for October 17 have been sold.
Likewise, the corporation says that 93 and 20 tickets have been sold for the Kathmandu-Gwangjao flight on October 23 and the Guangzhou-Kathmandu flight on October 24, respectively. The corporation said that it has drawn attention to the news published in some media that the number of passengers on the flight was reduced and it was cancelled.
As the destination is new for Nepal and the destination has not been fully publicized, the corporation says that the work of informing the passengers is continuing. The corporation has also requested the entire media world to assist the corporation in promoting the new sector as ticket bookings are increasing in the said destination.
