According to the office, in the 2 months of the current financial year, five types of petroleum products were imported at a cost of 26.33 billion.
In the total revenue received from imports, the share of petroleum products in the contribution of revenue received from the main 20 commodities is 28.56 percent.
According to Bishnuprasad Gyawali, Chief Customs Administrator of Birgunj Customs Office, the contribution of petroleum products and vehicles to the customs revenue is very high. Customs here is dependent on imports. Also, the share of petroleum products and vehicles is important.
Similarly, 6 billion 140 million or 15.68 percent is from the import of transport vehicles and their parts.
Likewise, from iron and iron-made products 2 billion 54 crores or 6.49 percent of the revenue. 1 billion 98 crores or 5.06 percent share from all types of clothing. Birgunj Customs Office has collected 39 billion 15 crore revenue in two months of the current year.
