NEPSE fell by 103 points in two days, business is not encouraging

In just two trading days after the Dasain holiday, the NEPSE index fell by nearly 104 points. On Tuesday 58.55 and on Wednesday 45.36 NEPSE decreased by a total of 103.91 points in two days. Before Dasain, on Sunday October 12, NEPSE closed with an increase of about 11 and a half points. However, investors' confidence could not increase in the market after Dasain. As a result, the NEPSE has decreased by high points for two consecutive days.

So it is not clear that this is the reason why the stock market has fallen. Although many structures have been damaged due to the Gen-G movement, very few companies have been listed among them. The market share of

listed companies is also very low. Therefore, it cannot be said that this is the reason for the fall in the stock market. However, like in the past, politics in the country has become unstable again. A stockbroker said that the investor's confidence has not increased due to the deterioration of the investment environment. If there is no investment environment, even if some investments are seen in the short term, they will not be investors but only traders and that will not lead to sustainable development of the market. 

Compared to the previous day, the total NEPSE decreased by 45.36 points or 1.47 percent to 2,559.59 points. On Wednesday, the NEPSE decreased by about 58 points. 

Out of the 18 companies that traded that day, the share price of 232 companies decreased while one remained stable. In this way, the overall NEPSE decreased by a higher number as there were more companies that decreased than increased share prices.

On Wednesday, 1 crore 37 lakh 49 thousand 504 shares were bought and sold in a transaction of 63 thousand 509 times. Shares worth 5 billion 76 crore 27 rupees have been traded in those purchases. The turnover has increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 4 billion 629 million rupees were traded on Tuesday. After the index of all the 13 sub-groups traded on that day fell, the overall NEPSE fell by a high point.

Even in the declining market, the property values ​​of investors of 18 companies including bonds of Shangrila Development Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Atmanirbhar Laguvitt, Three Star Hydropower and Hydropower have increased. After the increase in the share price of those companies, the value of the investor's property has been analyzed. 

Investors of 232 companies including Prabhu Insurance, Manjushree Finance, First Microfinance Laguvitta, Sayapatri Hydropower have reduced their property values. Because the share price of these companies has decreased. 

On Wednesday, Nepal Reinsurance Company is the first in terms of transaction amount. The shares of this company have been traded worth 260 million 16 million rupees.

After the stock market fell in the last two days, the size of the stock market and the total market capitalization have also shrunk by about 2 trillion. The total market capitalization, which was 44 trillion 52 billion rupees before Dasain, has remained at 42 trillion 78 billion rupees on Wednesday. This shows that the size of the stock market has shrunk by 1 trillion 73 billion.
