Meeting between Finance Minister Khanal and Japanese Ambassador

Finance Minister Rameshwar Prasad Khanal and Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Mayda Toru had a courtesy meeting. In the meeting held at the Ministry today, they discussed the current changing situation of Nepal, the historical relationship between Nepal and Japan and Japan's support for the economic and social development of Nepal.

In the discussion, Finance Minister Khanal said that the main task of the current government, which was formed under special circumstances, is to complete the elections at the appointed time and during this period, economic and social development activities including reconstruction will be continued.

On that occasion, Nagadhunga under construction  Areas of cooperation including Tunnel Marg Project, Tanahun Hydropower Project and the Koteshwar Chowk Improvement Project which is going to be agreed upon in the near future,  Discussions were held on various issues, including the Sindhuli road flood-affected emergency rehabilitation program.

Finance Secretary Ghanshyam Upadhyay and Deputy Secretary of Foreign Aid Coordination Division Dhaniram Sharma were also present on that occasion.
