Exports of cardamom increased by 44 percent

Exports of cardamom increased by 44 percent

In the first two months of the current fiscal year 2082/83, the export of cardamom from Mechi Customs Office has increased by 43.90 percent. According to the statistics of the office, cardamom worth 859.6 million 11 thousand was exported during that period.

Mechi Customs Office Information Officer Ishwar Kumar Humagain informed that 522 metric tons of cardamom was exported during the last two months. During the first two months of the year 2081/82, cardamom worth Rs 59 crore 73 lakh 52 thousand was exported, he said.

According to the statistics of the office, the export of tea has decreased by 34 percent in the two months of the current year. During that period, tea worth 75 million three lakh 48 thousand was exported. According to information officer Humagain, during the same period of the year 2081/82, tea worth one billion 1374 million eight thousand was exported. 

According to the statistics of the customs office, among the main exported items, there has been an increase of 98.30 percent, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage, 155.20 percent, veneer seat 74 percent, musuro dal 655.10 percent. Similarly, information officer Humagai informed that iron leaf has decreased by 93.40 percent, ginger by 41.80 percent and amriso by 30.10 percent. 

Mechi Customs has exported goods worth three billion six billion 37 lakh 39 thousand in two months of the current year.
