The Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has requested the Nepalis working in the UAE in various professions and businesses to fully comply with local laws, rules and values.

Recently, the embassy has warned about the increase in the activities of Nepalese laborers working in UAE, banking transactions, social behavior, cyber crime, traffic rules, abuse of independent visa.

Embassies have also been told to be cautious as there is an increasing tendency to violate local laws. The Embassy has issued such a notification in the background of UAE closing the work and visit visa for Nepalis. The UAE has not issued visit and work visas since September 8. The UAE has not given official information about the reason for stopping the visa. 

The embassy has specifically requested Nepali workers to follow 11 points. In which it is said to fully comply with the existing labor, laws, regulations and values ​​of the UAE, not to leave the employer and not to run away, not to break the legal contract with the company or organization that you work for.

Similarly, the notification issued by the embassy also states to fully comply with the traffic rules, to keep the resident ID card with you at all times, to behave lawfully, honestly and disciplinedly, not to deceive, cheat or act contrary to the contract.

The embassy has requested not to give passports, emirates card or banking documents to others, not to post inappropriately through social media such as Facebook, Tiktok and Instagram, not to form unauthorized organizations or groups, to hold cultural or religious programs only by giving prior information to the embassy and to keep the Nepali community united on the basis of mutual solidarity, harmony and cooperation. The embassy has also warned that those who violate the rules will face legal action.

UAE is a major employment destination for Nepalis. There are currently 8 million Nepalis in the UAE. Last year alone, 264,000 Nepalis went to the UAE.
