Cleaning of the road has been started with the aim of opening the jungle safari in Shuklaphanta National Park. The park administration has said that the work of filling the potholes and clearing the grass during summer is going on. Purushottam Wagle, conservation officer of the park, said that the entrance of the park is being cleaned and repaired from Mazhagaon through Ranital to the grassland and the road from the grassland to Barkaula to Mazhagaon.
"The work of cutting the grass around the road and filling the potholes is going on," said the conservation officer Wagle, "we are also working on the repair of the Kathe bridge which was destroyed by the flood during the dry season."
Even now, it is raining regularly every day, due to which the mud on the safari road has not decreased. Wagle says that due to this, there is a problem in cleanliness and maintenance.
"It is not possible to open the safari immediately, now it seems that the safari can be resumed only after Dasain," Wagle said, "The road in the Shuklaphanta grassland area is very damaged, there is no normal maintenance, it seems that mud and gravel should be added." The road in the Shuklaphanta grassland area is filled with grass and there are big holes somewhere.
