Route permit (permission) has been opened for passenger public vehicles from today. Vijay Bahadur Swaran, President of the National Federation of Nepal Transport Professionals, informed that route permits have been opened across the country from today for the smooth operation of public transport throughout the country during the festival.
With the opening of the route permit, now they will be able to go to the destination by public transport without taking a route. Due to the special nature of a road, public vehicles of any size and type are prohibited from plying on that road.
The route permit will remain open until October 22, President Swar said. According to the federation, passengers must buy a ticket when traveling in public vehicles.
The government has already decided to stop the operation of large vehicles, including trailers, except for the transportation of essential items such as food grains, from Narayanghat to Kathmandu from today till Purnima, to facilitate traffic movement.
