It has been found that more than 13,000 jobs have been affected due to damage to the physical structure of private commercial establishments throughout the country due to arson and vandalism during the demonstration. This is the number of Rajgaris provided by organizations such as hotels and tourism sector, Bhatbhateni Supermarket, Chaudhary Group, Chandragiri Cable Car, Maulakalika Cable Car, etc., which are providing many jobs.

  Stakeholders say that the number of directly affected jobs will continue to increase as many industries and businesses across the country have been damaged during the agitation. Although the mentioned business houses have suffered losses in their business, they have said that they will not lay off their employees immediately. Therefore, rather than the loss of employment of employees, it has been affected for some time. 

Around 10 thousand employees are working in 28 branches of Bhatbhateni Supermarket across the country. 21 of them were damaged during the protest. Among them, 9 branches have been operational despite vandalism. The remaining 12 branches were completely destroyed by fire. They are currently not operational. Therefore, it is estimated that around 5,000 jobs have been affected by the damage to Bhatbhateni. However, the supermarket has said that any employee will be dismissed from employment and will be assigned to another branch immediately. 

According to the data of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), around 2,000 jobs have been affected after damage was done to the hotel and hospitality sector in Nepal. According to preliminary estimates, around 25 hotels were damaged in the attack and the jobs of 2,000 employees and workers were affected.

extension counter is staffed by 2 to 3 people. Damage to a branch or counter does not necessarily mean that the employee has lost his job. Incidents of arson and vandalism directly at bank branches and extension counters are less. It is said that bank branches and extension counters in government offices, transport, revenue offices and other places have been damaged. Due to arson and vandalism in government and private institutions, bank branches, counters and ATM booths near them have been damaged. 

Protesters have damaged 68 branches and 69 ATMs of various banks, Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Vishwanath Paudel said.
