In the 8 months from January to August of the English year 2025, foreign arrivals in Nepal have reached 736,562. According to the preliminary data released by the Immigration Department, the number of foreigners coming to Nepal from at least 40 countries including India, America, China, Bangladesh, Britain, Australia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Germany and Japan has reached 736,562 in 8 months.
Looking at the monthly details, 121 thousand 687 foreigners arrived in March, which is the highest record of this year. At least 70,000 foreigners arrived in Nepal in July. The government of Nepal has predicted the arrival of 1.6 million tourists this year. Similarly, the Tourism Board has predicted that 1.3 million tourists will arrive.
