Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the government is working towards creating an investment environment. Inaugurating the 47th Annual General Meeting of Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAN) today, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel said, 'The government is working towards increasing the confidence of the private sector and creating an investment environment in the country.'
Deputy Prime Minister Paudel also informed that the government is committed to promoting tourism and developing the national economy. He mentioned that when he took over the government, all the indicators in the economy were negative and said, 'Now there has been a positive change in all the indicators of the economy. When we took over the government yesterday, the indicators of the economy were negative.
Similarly, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel clarified that the government is not in a position to give VAT exemption. He said, 'It is now difficult to cover ordinary expenses from the revenue. Now bring more business promotion plans than VAT exemptions. The government is ready to facilitate.'
He said that the country has moved on the path of stability by ensuring political stability. He said, 'The current government is strong and stable. This government will continue till the 2084 elections and it will give political stability. We have paid special attention to implement the policies and programs and budget brought by the government.'
