In Karnali province, 96 percent planting has been completed. According to the Directorate of Agricultural Development, Karnali Province, out of the 41 thousand 42 hectares of rice cultivation land in the province, planting has been completed in 39 thousand 594.9 hectares.
According to Tilak Prasad Pandey, Acting Director of the Directorate, out of the 10 districts of the state, Jumla, Humla and Dolpa have been 100% planted. Planting has been completed in 2,890 hectares in Jumla, 585 hectares in Humla and 198 hectares in Dolpa. Planting in four districts has reached 99 percent.
Jajarkot has the highest 99.2 percent planting, while the same 99 percent planting has been completed in Salyan, Mugu and Rukum West. Planting of 2,623 hectares out of 2,645 hectares in Jajarkot and 6,72 hectares out of 6,134 hectares in Salyan has been completed.
In Kalikot, out of 2,462 hectares, 98 percent i.e. 2,412 hectares have been planted. In Surkhet, which is the largest paddy cultivation area in the province, 95 percent planting has been done. Out of the total area of 14 thousand 921 hectares in Surkhet, planting has been completed in 14 thousand 174.95 hectares. Of the total seven thousand 620 hectares in Dailekh, seven thousand 86.6 hectares have been planted.
