Rastra Bank invited bids for printing 42 crore notes of 50 rate

According to the notice issued by the National Bank, the price of the bid is 20,000 in Nepali rupees, while the other foreign currencies are fixed at US$146, Euro 126 and Pound 109.

Nepal Rastra Bank has invited tenders for the printing and supply of 420 million i.e. 42 crore notes of 50 Nepali rupees.

 

The central bank published a public notice today and invited international bids to print those notes in a secure manner. Bidding will be done through 'Single Stage Two Envelope' system. A technical proposal and a price proposal are requested to be submitted.

The Currency Management Department of Nepal Rastra Bank has already allocated the necessary budget for this work.

According to the notice issued by the National Bank, the price of the bid is 20 thousand in Nepali rupees, while in other foreign currencies it is fixed at 146 US dollars, 126 euros and 109 pounds. The company purchasing the bid document has to deposit the amount in the Rashtra Bank account at Thapathali.

The last date for submission of bids has been fixed on 23rd August 2082. It is mentioned that the bid will be valid for at least 120 days and a minimum bank guarantee of Rs 4 crore should be attached.

Nepal Rastra Bank reserves the right to cancel any or all bids.
