Prestige Carpet Industries, located in the Bara-Parsa Industrial Corridor, has started exporting its products to third countries. Industries exported 30,000 square meters of carpets from the dry port for the third time last Thursday.

According to Aman Shah, the owner of United Industries, they have started exporting their products to the United Arab Emirates, the African country of Kenya and the United States of America. Previously  was exporting its products to India. 

'Carpets worth about one crore have been exported to third countries from the dry port,' he said, mentioning that after a long effort it was possible to export them to third countries as well.

industry's  It has the capacity to produce two million square meters annually. According to the industry, carpets are produced from Rs 900 to Rs 4000 per square meter. An investment of Rs 40 crore has been made in the industry which has been operating for the past five years.  

Meanwhile, Hari Gautam, president of Birgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that it is a pleasure to bring raw materials from abroad and export them again abroad.
