The government has collected revenue worth 51 billion 42 crores in the last fiscal year through customs offices across the country. It has been made clear that a significant amount of revenue has been collected from the land office that keeps the details of real estate transactions across the country and does the necessary work.

According to Balram Adhikari, Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, in the financial year 2081/82, significant work has been done through the Ministry and its subordinate agencies. According to him, 27 thousand 358 land owner certificates (Lalpurja) have been distributed from Land Problem Solution Commission, Village Block Minadi, Special Surveyor etc.

Similarly, new land surveying guidelines have been issued and a budget has been arranged for the establishment of a land bank. According to the Minister, the budget has been arranged for the formation and operation of the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority, the formation and operation of the Debt Recovery Tribunal, and the establishment of the Cooperative Credit and Savings Protection Fund. He claims that this has created a good foundation for the institutional reform of the cooperative sector and a long-term solution to the current problems of the cooperative sector.

Out of 62,760 claims of troubled cooperatives, 8,156 people's savings have been returned. In the meantime, three billion 71 million savings have been returned.  Likewise, the work of distributing identity cards to poor households has been accelerated. Two lakh 71 thousand 640 families of total 15 districts will be identified and distribution of state facility identity cards will be completed within the next decade.

17,791 parcels of land with an area of 360,000 square meters have been registered in the name of the Government of Nepal through registration of the remaining land that has been exempted from registration and other procedures. According to the government land registration, use and leasing strategy, 2079, including the land that was approved for lease, use and filing in the last year, land has been provided to 127 entities including hospital construction, local level building construction, agricultural university, multi-technical education center, memorial institute, health post, medical college, etc.

61 participants have been initiated in three long-term (one year) senior surveyor training-departmental group, junior surveyor training-departmental group and junior surveyor training open group regarding land surveying, land management and use of geographic information.

The Ministry also informed that a refresher training was conducted for about 500 Amins and Surveyors working in the Land Problem Solving Commission on Lottery Mapping and Land Registration.
