Yuvraj Khatiwada, Economic Development Advisor of the Government of Nepal, has said that specialized financial institutions are necessary for the development and transformation of the agricultural sector.

Speaking on the occasion of the 24th foundation day of Sana Kisan Bikas Laguvitt Financial Institution Limited, he said that there is a need for a specialized financial institution to do special work for the development and expansion of the agricultural sector.

Remembering the important role played by Sana Kisan Bikash Microfinance Financial Institutions to engage small farmers in agriculture, animal husbandry and income generation, he argued that microfinance cannot continue for a long time if it cannot advance its programs to connect its members to production.

Remembering that there are many areas of enterprise and income generation that can be done through agriculture and animal husbandry in Nepal, Khatiwada said that it is necessary to focus on collective production and income rather than individual ones.

'Nepal's meat products such as Ranga, Bangur, etc., have been marketed in third countries . Now, if farmers can be encouraged to produce healthy livestock by guaranteeing the market, the income level of Nepali farmers can be increased,' he said, 'for this, as members are being connected to production and marketing through agricultural cooperatives, now the work of increasing the income level by storage, processing, packaging and branding of products should be made more effective.' In the

program, the president of the organization, Khem Bahadur Pathak, said that there were some problems in the cooperatives because they could not increase institutional governance. He argued that the problem started in the organizations because the directors and employees of the organization acted differently from their responsibilities while saying that they were running a nationwide campaign. He said that since cooperatives can have a positive impact on every sector of the community, the reforms should be done by themselves.

Sana Kisan Bikas Laguvitta has been working through 1,710 partner organizations in 77 districts to extend wholesale credit to 8.8 million members of 2.2 million families, develop capacity, and transfer technology for young entrepreneurs.

Likewise, President Pathak claimed that the organization has brought backward castes such as Dom, Chamar, Musahar, Harijan, Dhobi, Dhawal, Chidimar, Pattharkat, Paswan, Chepang, Vankaria, Raute etc. into the organization.   The chief executive officer of

organization Shivram Prasad Koirala argued that if you work in a cooperative and microfinance organization whose leadership is honest, you will not have to deal with any problems.
