In the first section under the Nagadhunga-Naubise road section, which has been divided into three sections, the first level of black sheet work has been completed. The 94.66 km road from Nagadhunga to Muglin is being upgraded by dividing it into three sections.
The first section of 12.26 km includes Nagadhunga-Naubise. In this section, 5.5 km of the second level black sheeting work has also been completed. The road is paved up to the third level.
Keshav Prasad Ojha, the head of Nagadhunga-Muglin road plan eastern section, said that the remaining black paper work will be started only after the monsoon. 12 thousand vehicles pass through this section daily. Slob stabilization (earthquake control) of special nature is being done in Jhyaplekhola. Only after the completion of its work will the section be blacked out.
The overall physical progress of Nagadhunga-Naubise section is 84 percent. The contract for the upgrading of this section has been awarded to Jangsu-Sagun JV for 1.3 billion rupees. Keshav Prasad Ojha, the head of Nagadhunga-Muglin road project, said that a disabled-friendly bridge for pedestrians is going to be built in the mine shaft of this section. The
falls in the second section, the Naubise-Malekhu section. Its distance is 43.54 km. The contract for this section was taken by JICG-Sharma-Lama JV for 5.33 billion 19 million. Its physical progress is only 42 percent. In this section, 13 km road has been paved in both directions.
