A meeting was held between the Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission Prof. Dr. Shivraj Adhikari and the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal Mohammad Sapikur Rahman.
In the meeting held at the Commission at Singha Durbar on Wednesday, they discussed issues of bilateral interest. During the meeting, the Vice-Chairman Officer of the Planning Commission asked to emphasize on the bilateral trade between Nepal and Bangladesh as there is a high potential.

meeting, there was a discussion about the challenges and opportunities that will be created by Nepal and Bangladesh in the context of being upgraded from the least developed country in 2026, and about establishing easy trade relations from the Himalayan region of Nepal to the maritime region of Bangladesh and promoting tourism in that region.

meeting was attended by senior officials of the Planning Commission and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
