Tea export from Mechi Customs Office Kakadvitta has increased by 40.5 percent in 11 months of the current financial year. According to the data of the office, tea worth 3.86 billion 64 lakh 78 thousand rupees was exported during this period.
In the same period of the last financial year 2080/81, tea worth 2.75 billion 28 lakh 32 thousand rupees was exported.
The export of cardamom, which is the main export item, has decreased. In the 11 months of the current financial year, cardamom worth 7 billion 18 million 73 thousand rupees has been exported. In the same period of last financial year, cardamom worth 7 billion 46 crore 68 lakh 76 thousand was exported.
Customs has collected 14 billion 43 crore 92 lakh 37 thousand revenue in 11 months of the current financial year. The office has collected 91.56 percent of the target revenue from last July to May. During this period, the office aimed to collect 15 billion 77 million 19 lakh 46 thousand revenue.
