Launch of 'Hami Mobile App'

The government of the Republic of Korea has launched the ``Hami Mobile App'' to provide essential employment-related information to people going for foreign employment in a simple and easy way.

Launched with the financial support of the Korean government, the Nepal government will cooperate with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security in the operation of the app. The launch of the app was completed on Thursday under the chief hospitality of Labor Minister Saratsingh Bhandari. 

Minister Bhandari said that the government plans to improve transparency and policy decisions through the use of digital technology in the labor market. He called for everyone's cooperation and cooperation and said that safe and dignified labor management will be possible through collective efforts in cooperation with stakeholders. This app contains essential resources for skill development, financial planning and mental health with a user-friendly interface in Nepali and English languages.

On that occasion, the Korean Ambassador to Nepal, Park Theung, informed that this app will provide support and guidance based on the needs of the workers to have access to accurate, reliable and timely information. He said that the Korean government said that migrant workers who have returned from working in Korea are an important asset for the future of Nepal.

He also discussed about the collection of inspirational entrepreneurship stories of 50 people who have returned home from foreign employment and emerged as successful businessmen based on their experiences in Korea. The

program was attended by representatives of the Nepalese government, Korean ambassador and embassy, ​​representatives of Koika Nepal, people with employment experience in Korea, and representatives of relevant organizations.

The Korean government is conducting various programs to promote entrepreneurship while working in Korea before leaving for employment in Korea and after returning, as well as making the field of foreign employment dignified, orderly and safe, according to the Korean Embassy here.
