Birgunj Customs Office has collected 73 billion 18 crores in the 11 months of the current financial year 2081/82 from the import of petroleum products. In the 11 months of the current year, the office has spent one billion 74 billion nine crores to import five types of petroleum products.
In the total revenue received from imports, the share of petroleum products in the contribution of revenue received from the main 20 items is 46.43 percent. Deepak Lamichhane, Chief Customs Administrator of Birgunj Customs Office said that the main source of revenue of Birgunj Customs is the revenue obtained from the import of petroleum products and vehicles.
Similarly, the second most revenue is 17 billion 700 million from the import of transport vehicles and their parts. The share of transport vehicles and spare parts in the revenue received from imports is 11.23 percent. Similarly, five billion 78 crores of revenue has been collected from iron and iron products. 5 billion 26 million has been collected from the import of machinery and spare parts.
Chief Customs Administrator Lamichhane said that three billion 67 million was collected from the import of electric machinery, equipment and their parts. In the 11 months of the current year, three billion six crore revenue has been collected from all types of textile imports.
