Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that Nepal can face the challenges on the way of economic growth through the promotion of green economy.
He said this while addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Thursday. He said that through high and sustainable economic growth, job creation, quality human capital development, promotion of green economy, social inclusion and investment and trade promotion, Nepal can face the challenges on the way of economic growth.
For this, he said, there is a need to make cooperation and cooperation between the government, private sector, cooperatives, non-governmental and social organizations, and development partners closer. He also said that developing the resilience of citizens and the economy due to the effects of disasters and climate change has become a challenging issue for Nepal.
He said that it is necessary to increase Nepal's export capacity to sustain international trade. For this, it is necessary to emphasize on production and productivity growth, national and objective diversification of trade, protection and promotion of physical assets, bilateral and multilateral trade agreements and effective implementation.
Deputy Prime Minister Paudel pointed out the need to emphasize the need to achieve sustainable development goals prioritized by Nepal in implementation, develop green economy, maintain access to climate-related global funds and develop resilience.
For the high cost and technical efficiency required for this, Nepal also needs the support and partnership of development partners and the world community.
