The World Bank has warned that in the 2020s, the world economy may reach its weakest state in 50 years.

In the 'Global Economic Prospect' report published by the bank this week, it is mentioned that the world economy is currently experiencing the slowest growth since the 1960s.  There are signs of slowing down of world economic growth due to

obstacles, uncertainty brought about by tariff policy and lack of international cooperation.

In 2025, the bank estimates that the global economic growth rate will be limited to 2.3 percent. Earlier in January, the bank had predicted a growth of 2.7 percent. This growth rate is the lowest point of the decade.

US President Donald Trump's threat of additional tariffs and additional tariffs on trading partners has affected the growth of the world economy, according to the report.
