13 trillion 56 billion 61 crore rupees have been received in the country through remittances for ten months of the current financial year. It has increased by 13.9 percent compared to the same period of last financial year. In 10 months of last year, remittance inflow increased by 16.9 percent.
2082 Baisakh month only 1 trillion 65 billion 30 million rupees remittance has been received. This is the highest ever. In the same month last year, remittance inflow was 1 trillion 15 billion 99 crores.
In the last 10 months, the remittance inflow in US dollars increased by 10.5 percent and reached 9.96 billion. Last year, such flow increased by 14.8 percent.
During that period, the number of Nepalis who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment was 45,661 and the number of those who took the work permit again was 280,314. During the same period last year, such numbers were 373 thousand 307 and 236 thousand 398 respectively.
