The construction process of the Budhiganga hydropower project has not been able to move forward due to the government's neglect, the representatives of the district and the leaders of the district being silent and the foreign donors rejecting the agreement on various pretexts to customize the project. The project construction study was started about 30 years ago.

For the production of 20 megawatts of electricity from the project located in Sanfebagar municipality-10, the construction has been carried out with the loan investment of the Gulf countries Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Surendra Ghimire, head of the project, said that this project, which is about 900 kilometers from the capital Kathmandu, aims to contribute to the social and economic development of Nepal by reducing load shedding and increasing the power generation capacity of the country.

According to him, the project, which aims to be completed within 2025 at an estimated cost according to the specified criteria, has not yet been able to go into the contract process. According to the project, 132 KV transmission line will be developed from Budhiganga to Pahalmanpur in Kailali for 985 km.

'Community support work is being done . The work of extracting information and evaluation for the contract of the project has been done . But the agreement has not been reached," he said. It happens . We have sent all the documents for that . But so far no response has been received.'' He said that due to delay in distribution of compensation, DPR not being made on time and delay due to various reasons, the work of the project could not go ahead. It's only been a month since I became the head of the project. We are going to manage by understanding the situation. We are also cooperating with the leadership here," he said. According to the

project, the Engineering Design Report and Environmental Impact Study (EIA) have been approved. The IEE report for transmission lines has also been approved . But since the loans made by Qatar and Saudi Arabia are insufficient for the investment project, correspondence has been sent to the Ministry of Finance to manage other budgets. But the ministry has not been able to ensure the source .

Apart from the amount coming from the country where the loan has been invested, according to the agreement that the Nepal government will arrange the amount, the Ministry of Finance has been corresponded about the insufficient amount, but no concrete answer has been received yet.  Project chief Ghimir said. We have done all kinds of evaluations and studies. We have also issued the contract notification. But no information has been received from the Ministry of Finance about ensuring the resources,' he said, 'If the Ministry had ensured the budget so that it could manage the resources, the construction company could have been called to sign the contract after completing all the legal procedures. "Now we are doing the general works of the project, community support, road repair, road construction and internal works of the office," he said. We have not been able to work actively.' project, a loan agreement of 6 billion Nepali rupees has been signed with the Saudi Fund for Arab Development on June 18, 2014. An agreement was reached on 14th of Ashadh 2072 and he was assigned to prepare the DPR in 073. Australian company Smack International Private Limited and Nepalese company Udaya Consultancy have prepared DPR about 1 year ago. The DPR of the project has been prepared at a cost of about 19 million 91 lakh 33 thousand Nepalese rupees.

The study was started from 2052 for the construction of Budhiganga hydropower project with a capacity of 20 megawatts to be built by the government itself. According to the feasibility study and environmental impact assessment study completed in 1997, the estimated total cost is about 10 billion in Nepali currency. According to the
