The 63rd meeting of the Investment Board held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has decided to review and proceed with the final detailed feasibility study report regarding the chemical fertilizer production factory in Nepal. In a meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, Singha Darbar, it was decided to form a working group to recommend suitable options after reviewing and revising the report received from Germany's DIAG Industries GmbH.

The said company started the feasibility study of the fertilizer manufacturing factory by the decision of the board dated 4th June 2077 . The meeting has decided to take the proposals received regarding the detailed study, development and operation-management of the Panchkhaal Special Economic Zone project to a competitive process in accordance with the Swiss Challenge concept.

The meeting has decided to form a working group to study the double tax exemption agreements and investment promotion agreements made with various countries so far and submit a report to the board about entering into these agreements with more countries.

Similarly, a committee has been formed to study the economic and technical aspects of the proposals received in relation to the 'Deep Sea Bed Mining' project, including the prevailing international laws, national policies and legal arrangements, and submit a report to the board.

The meeting has authorized the office of the board to provide a survey permit for the project in accordance with the proposal received regarding the study and establishment of industry related to "green hydrogen" in Nepal.

It has been decided to delegate some of the powers on the board to Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyawali in order to carry out such operations more quickly and effectively.
