The newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Vishwanath Paudel, has said that the Rastra Bank will continue its operations in accordance with the policy of supporting the government's financial policy. Taking charge at the Rashtra Bank office in Baluwatar today, he made it clear that he will do his work while maintaining the autonomy of the Rashtra Bank.

"Monetary policy helps to make the things that are determined by the financial policy successful", he said, "Regulation and supervision is another task." Instead of making more rules, the supervision capacity should be increased. For this, the capacity of the National Bank will have to be increased.'

He said that the National Bank will also give priority to the security of citizens' deposits in banks and financial institutions and improvement in credit policy. Similarly, he said, the National Bank will take decisions only by coordinating with various stakeholders.

He opined that the acceptance of the resignation of Rashtra Bank's Executive Director Gunakar Bhatt was an internal matter of Rashtra Bank. The newly appointed Governor Paudel has also signed the decision related to the printing of bank notes of Rs 50 and Rs 1000.
