In Raghuganga Rural Municipality-8 Kuinemangale, preparations have been made for the trial production of a 21.3 megawatt large stream hydropower project.

After the completion of the infrastructure construction of this project built by United Energy Limited, the testing of the physical structure and the machine equipment connected to the power house has been started. Manager Vinod Paudel informed. 

According to him, all the work towards the dam, tunnel, power house and switchyard has been completed.  He said that necessary tests have been completed by installing turbines and other machine tools in the power house. An eight kilometer long transmission line is under construction to connect the electricity produced by the project to the central transmission. According to the project, the wire pulling work on the tower of the transmission line is going on in full swing with the goal of producing the test on the 1st of May.

In this project, which has a dam at the border area of ​​Kuinemangale and Chimkhola, the water brought through the tunnel and penstock pipe will be pumped into the power house built on the banks of the Raghuganga river in Chari and electricity will be generated. This project has a 3,382-meter long tunnel and a 634-meter penstock tunnel.

Non-resident Nepalis and Nepalis have 30% investment in this project and 70% banks and financial institutions have invested in this project. The estimated cost of this project is 3 billion 600 million and the project has been invested by Sunrise Bank, National Commercial Bank, Siddharth Bank under the leadership of Nepal Bank Limited. In the project, Sakura Power/Triple S JV took the contract for the civil part, while the contract for the electromechanical part was taken by Toyor Hydro.
