Hitendradev Shakya, executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority, has said that the authority will adjust the electricity tariff.
He said that the tariff has not been adjusted for three years and that the tariff will be increased. 'Since the electricity tariff has not been adjusted for 3 years, to adjust the tariff timely will be done,' he said while releasing the white paper.

It has been reported that a white paper has been issued to decide the future plan after analyzing the achievements and current situation of the authority and its opportunities and challenges. Although the authority was scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Shakya postponed it citing technical reasons.
It is mentioned in the white paper that electricity access of the authority has reached 97.5 percent in the municipality and 95 wards. Based on the structure of the house, 91.41 percent and 84.62 percent on the basis of the number of families have been electrified, according to the authority.
