The government is going to establish a digital bank with the aim of promoting cashless financial transactions. Presenting the policy and program of the next financial year in the federal parliament on Friday, President Ramchandra Poudel said that cashless transactions will be promoted.
President Paudel said that a digital bank will be established by making policy and legal arrangements, giving priority to the development of the digital economy. The government's plan will focus on making digital transactions easy and secure and accessible to citizens.
'Digital economy development and cashless financial transactions will be enhanced by expanding information technology infrastructure,' President Paudel said, 'A business-friendly environment will be created by further policy reforms and procedural simplification to promote private investment.'
Similarly, faceless services will be expanded to make public services more effective, he said, using Citizen App as the main digital tool and maximum services will be provided online. The policy program includes maximum use of information technology to improve tax administration and develop a taxpayer-friendly revenue system.
