The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 8.14 points on Wednesday. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE decreased by 0.30 percent and closed at 2,623.83 points.
NEPSE, which fell continuously on the previous two trading days, followed the same trend on Tuesday. But compared to the previous two days, the rate of decline on Tuesday has decreased. NEPSE has fallen by 37.75 percent in the last three days. Although it increased by 3.5 points last Sunday, the NEPSE has decreased on all trading days since then.
The share price of 107 companies traded on this day increased while 136 decreased. 2 crore 64 lakh 41 thousand 261 shares were bought and sold in 79 thousand 777 share transactions.
In those purchases, shares worth 9 billion 37 crore 41 lakh rupees have been traded. The transaction amount has also decreased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 7.57 billion 52 lakh rupees were traded in the stock market on Tuesday. Among the 13 sub-groups traded on that day, indices of hydropower, microfinance, collective investment fund and business sub-group rose. The overall NEPSE has declined after the decline of all other indices.
Investors' confidence in the stock market has not increased, so experts say that they have not been able to expand more investments.
