Dr. Pramila Acharya Rizal, who has been advocating women's empowerment and creating an egalitarian society, has given one crore rupees to the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) founded by Lord Koirala.

Acharya handed over a check of one million Nepali rupees to Koirala in order to support the campaign of the organization which has been serving the urban poor, children of remote areas and other underprivileged communities.
The hospital in Jhapa under KIOCH has been put into operation, while the hospital in Kathmandu is under construction. Acharya has said that the funds have been provided as a support because citizens should also be responsible for positive social change. Rizal is the president of the South Asian Women's Development Forum.
