The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 9.96 points on Tuesday. Compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE decreased by 0.36 percent to 2,688.32 points.
NEPSE, which decreased on Sunday and Monday, followed the same trend on Tuesday as well. Out of the 86 companies that were traded that day, their share prices increased, while 160 companies decreased and one company remained stable.
225 million 55 thousand 713 shares were bought and sold in 71 thousand 694 share transactions. Shares worth 8.32 billion rupees have been traded in those purchases. Compared to the previous day, along with the NEPSE index, the transaction amount also decreased. Shares worth 8.77 billion 57 lakh rupees were traded on Monday.
Among the 13 sub-groups that came into business that day, the indices of hotels and tourism, production and processing and others increased. However, after the index of all the remaining subgroups decreased, the overall NEPSE decreased by almost double digits.
