Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that he will bring the budget for the coming year 2082/83 by managing resources in a disciplined manner. In Thursday's meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the National Assembly, Finance Minister Poudel said that if resources are not properly managed and utilized, there is a danger of trouble.

He said that the government will move forward in the direction of fulfilling the aspirations of the people for prosperity and development with the creation of the constitution. Stating that the role of parliamentarians will be in development along with legislation, he emphasized that development and legislation should be carried out in a coordinated manner. He said, "If we are not able to manage resources in a disciplined manner, we will be in trouble." Therefore, the country should not be allowed to suffer financially. The government is aware that it has to proceed in a proper manner.

Shyam Pasad Bhandari, joint secretary of the Ministry of Finance, said that the Ministry of Finance is trying to make the budget realistic. He said that many ministries have said that the ceiling has not been reached, but the budget demand is high even though the expenditure situation is weak. "If we look at the status of expenses now, it is around 50 percent. Budget demand is always high . The target should be ambitious, and the expenditure limit should be kept accordingly,' he said.

Finance Minister Poudel said that there is a tendency to demand a large budget in advance even for transferring money. He says that there is a problem even when plans are not prepared in the budget.

National Assembly member Ghanshyam Rizal said that the government is not responsible. He said that the pre-budget discussion could not take place even in the parliamentary committee because of the finance minister. He questioned that the government is not responsible for being on the gray list.

Rizal said, "Finance Minister said that it is not the government's fault to be in the gray list". Who was in the previous government? Not CPN UML ? UML is not sitting in the government by leading most of the ministries . Shouldn't UML be responsible for that?'

MPs asked to make the next year's budget implementation-oriented.
