The third international transport conference will be held in Kathmandu. The third international transport conference is going to be held in the capital from 29th to 31st of this Chait.

More than 300 delegates will be participating in the conference which will be jointly organized by the Society of Transport Engineers Nepal (SOTEN), the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Urban Development. In a press conference held on Wednesday to give information about the

conference, the president of Soten, Hareram Shrestha, said that this conference will be fruitful in solving the existing problems in the transport sector of Nepal. 16 sessions will be conducted on various topics in the transport sector during the three-day conference at Hotel Yak & Yeti. Representatives of 12 countries will participate in the conference, including 45 speakers, including 22 international ones. Hemant Tiwari, Secretary General of Soten, said that international practices and the need to improve Nepal's transport sector will be discussed at the

conference. Soten has been holding an international conference every two years and a national conference every year. Shravan Kumar Thapa, Secretary of Soten, emphasized that there is a need for coordination between the relevant agencies to make the transport sector sustainable and reliable.
