In the eight months of the current financial year (July to February), 10 trillion 51 billion 77 million rupees have entered the country through remittances. It is mentioned in the monthly report of Nepal Rastra Bank that this is an increase of 9.4 percent compared to the same period of the last financial year.

The remittance inflow increased by 18.3 percent during the same period last year. Remittance inflow in US dollars increased by 6.9 percent to 7.74 billion. Last year, such flow increased by 16.1 percent.

In the last eight months, the number of Nepalis who took the final work permit (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment is 3 lakh 17 thousand 68 and the number of those who got the labor permit again is 2 lakh 17 thousand 4 hundred 3. 

In the same period last year, such numbers were 285 thousand 352 and 182 thousand 783 respectively.
