Deputy Governor Neelam Dhungana Timsina has been given the responsibility of permanent governor. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel appointed Dhungana as the permanent governor on Monday.

According to Section 27 of the Nepal Rastra Bank Act 2058, the Ministry of Finance has stated that he has been assigned the responsibility of permanent governor.

He is the senior deputy governor of Rashtra Bank.

The five-year tenure of the outgoing Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari has ended from this Chait 24. Although a committee has been formed under the coordination of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Paudel for the governor's recommendation, the recommendation has not been made until Monday.
