Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand have reached an agreement to promote mutual cooperation and trade. In the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Prime Minister of Thailand Pe Thong Than Shinawatra, the president of the federation Chandra Prasad Dhakal and president of Thai Trade Sanan Angubolkul signed the memorandum of understanding.
The MoU between the Federation and the Board of Trade aims to strengthen trade relations between Nepal and Thailand, promote economic cooperation and create a structured framework for trade and investment expansion. In addition, the federation said that it is believed to further strengthen the commercial cooperation between the two countries and make a significant contribution to expanding the economic cooperation. Under the
agreement, both sides have expressed their commitment to promote trade, facilitate joint ventures, exchange business information and support industrial cooperation. Encouraging participation in trade fairs, business forums, and special economic events is included in the MoU. The MoU also mentions promoting the
dispute resolution system and strengthening technical expertise and training exchange. After the signing of the memorandum of understanding, the president of the federation, Dhakal, responded that more doors have been opened for investment and trade expansion between Nepal and Thailand. President of Thai Trade, Sanan Angubolkul said that Thai businessmen are willing to invest and expand trade with Nepal.
Bay of Bengal's multi-sectoral technical and economic cooperation initiative BIMSTEC The agreement will be valid for three years . It will serve as a strong foundation for continued cooperation between Nepali and Thai businesses.
