The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has objected to the vandalism, arson and looting of private and public properties and media houses during the demonstration in Tinkune area on Friday.
The chamber has also requested restraint as such disorderly activities will further devastate the economy. During the
demonstration, the chamber mentioned that the natural right of ordinary citizens and businessmen to have their profession and business was violated. The private sector has also demanded compensation for the victims of the incident.
'Many public and private properties and media houses have also been damaged. The Chamber of Commerce strongly condemns and condemns such violent incidents and demands that the victims of Friday's incident get proper compensation,'' the statement said.
Earlier, private sector umbrella organizations Nepal Confederation of Industry and Commerce and Nepal Confederation of Industries have also demanded action against the culprits of the incident and compensation for the victims.
