The Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka has instructed to collect the arrears due by the Nepal Electricity Authority from the industrialists who have consumed electricity from dedicated and trunk lines.

While administering the oath to the newly appointed Executive Director of the Authority, Hitendradev Shakya, Minister of Energy Khadka has directed to take the decision of the Council of Ministers into consideration to proceed with the immediate collection process and to create a situation where there will be no loadshedding for the customers. 

Minister Khadka said that the energy sector is the main basis of Nepal's prosperity and instructed the Electricity Authority to be honest and work in a way that shows results in favor of the people. 

Suresh Acharya, the secretary of the ministry, gave instructions to work to protect the credibility of the authority in the current challenging situation. Shakya, the newly appointed executive director, made a commitment to take the authority to new heights by making maximum use of his abilities and capabilities through heart, word and deed.
