The government has appointed Narad Kumar Luintel as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Luintel as the CEO.
In the first phase, the selection committee selected Chudamani Chapagai, Purnaprasad Acharya, Badriprasad Pyakurel and Hemant Basyal along with Luintel from 10 applications for the post. Among them, the names of three people were recommended and Luintel was appointed by the Council of Ministers. 
The Ministry of Finance formed a selection committee for three weeks to select the CEO of NEPSE . According to the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the committee formed under the coordination of Joint Secretary Pokharel has Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Amrit Lamsal and Khomraj Kharel as expert members. After the tenure of the then CEO Krishna Bahadur Karki, the post of CEO of NEPSE has been vacant since January 25.
